Wrap / Ceramic Coat / Bare
Incoming PPE headers!
Reading the forums and web clearly has two sides “pro” ceramic coating or heat wrap!
My question is what are the cons of leaving headers uncoated or wrapped for a 99% street / 1% track.
Will under bonnet temps increase vs. OE manifold if yes, why is this the case, what are the long term issues from this, if performance is affected by increased temps surely the gain from the better flowing exhaust would outweigh this right?

I cerakoted my novel headers, they are still sitting on my desk, hopefully will get installed soon
I find it funny/ironic that at 100k miles when I did novel headers on my is-f the starter died. Dunno if it was the heat or just age of the starter

Are you guys coating only exterior? I did both interior and exterior
So many shops only cerakote the exterior
I'll try to get the TE up on a lift, I have a fluke IR monitor and I'll try to take measurements after 15 minutes of running
Then when I swap to novel with black cerakote I'll try the same thing

I cerakoted mine. I have seen instances where people say you have to be careful especially due to the proximity of the starter to the headers. Interesting that Vraa's starter died after installing headers.
I just installed mine, practically yesterday. I was really surprised how much heat was emanating from the underside when I briefly stepped out of the car. I have the ARH long which run low underneath the car.
Mine were cerakoted inside and outside. The shop that did the cerakote didn't give me an option they said that's the only way they do it, inside and outside.
