Default Excessive Adhesive Wheel Weights

Hey guys! First and foremost, excuse my ignorance because I know very little about this and have tried googling what I am wondering but cannot find what I am looking for. Recently went into my dealership and was told I have to get a new tire because I have a nail in my back right tire. I get a new tire and it gets mounted but when I come back home I look and I see these ugly wheel weights put onto my wheels. I will admit that at first I thought this was the only wheel but I looked around and my other wheels also have two weights each on the outside of the rim that are dark in color and are hidden due to this. On this wheel with the new tire they now but four on the outside and two on the inside. I understand that the weights are to help balance everything but I am wondering why this one has so many more. Also why the different material? Is the dealership just using cheap parts or is this absolutely necessary and there is no way I can get some that are hidden like my other rims. Also when I was googling I stumbled upon a post that said that this many weights can be indicative of a defective tire. Any and all help will be appreciated. Thank you!

Just for reference this is the iron ones I was talking about in the other wheels. I cleaned it off with a baby wipe just to show the difference.

I usually ask and offer to pay extra for black wheel weights. I hate looking at them myself!

i doubt it's a defective tire or you would know it. They tend to wobble / hop especially when the tire is cold. The weights will be dirty inside of a couple weeks and won't stand out as much. Hold strong
