Dilemma
Not what they're saying here: Mr. Tingwall indeed confirms that the TVD weighs 67 pounds more than the standard Torsen limited slip. While there is truth it doesn't show up on the scale as a full 67 pounds because you won't get it without the CF roof, it's still at least 5x the weight of a good clutch type diff that IMHO outperforms the TVD for 20% the price. Worst of all, you're really going to hurt if you have a TVD issue out of warranty. They're stupid expensive even in the junkyards. I could literally buy 5 OS Giken TCD units for the same as what the junkyards are asking for a TVD unit. And just for clarity, the article I linked states unequivocally the TVD is better than the standard Torsen. That I do not doubt. I sincerely doubt it's better than the OS Giken all things considered.
hmmmmm lower over weight or lower center of gravity...
Wonder how much the sunroof weighs compared to the solid CB roof. Interesting weight change, tbh. For me personally, I would rather have a Torsen over a TVD, for the main reasons that I don't think I would like an electronically controlled differential, and also for the reason that the Torsen is a decent amount lighter.

Some people will like LSD and others will like TVD. It is a personal choice and no right or wrong here. Since the OP bought a TVD equipped RCF, I posted stuff so that he could try it as we paid for an expensive option so might as well enjoy it LOL Personally, it snaps the nose around under braking/acceleration with amazing precision with steering lock. There is the argument that TVD adds weight to the rear/bottom, which actually helps weight distribution. So shaving weight off the furthest away point and adding it to the closest, is a good thing no matter which way one slices it.

We bought our rc f for my wife I dont regret it at all, I'm going to get a supra I think. But after riding in the rc f for a few days now the rc f is growing on me but I have a year or two until I have to really decide. IMO if you saw you were driving the car you wanted and saw the other car would you regret not getting it.
I agree on trying something different. I have a NGP ISF and ->Kodi nox I bought a Obsidian ISF for my bride, thats why I have two. At a bare minimum they will be collectors and worth something some day. The ISF are becoming fewer and further between.

I have the same set up as you, yes they are getting harder and harder to find. I added to the collection a 2019 RCF and have my GSF as well, I know some will argue, but they will all be worth something someday.
I’ve had my 15 RCF just over a year, I like the way the car drives but I’m not in love with the looks. I’m debating a trade for a 2020 Supra now that prices are low with the 2021 announcement.
I tried putting wheels on the RCF last month and now I like the looks even less... apparently I’m not going to happy with anything (according to my wife)
