I am only six feet tall; but, I have a 28 inch inseam. Think about that. I have a very long torso and short arms and legs. Therefore, I must have the seat forward in order to engage the wheel and pedals. I have very little headroom, even less when I must wear a helmet.

Any ideas on the possibility of lowering the seats?

 

I've had friends that had a similar issue for drag racing when wearing a helmet. Their remedy was to have a local speed shop custom fab the seat brackets to lower the seats. This was in Chicago, though, otherwise I'd point you in the right direction.
