Default Thanks!!

No worries brother in F. Just was unsure what the term meant in such context. There is absolutely nothing I regret on choosing this system! I actually thought they trademarked the "Valvetronic" but then see some Bazooka thing w it as well. Like to put them both to the test - in person. Sound clips of the latter are entirely too obnoxious for my taste - No offense to those w one, I understand price is a driving factor (Pun Intended)....

"Baller" - as in professional athlete, who plays ball and has a lot of disposable income to spend. Or in the even older days out west, a gentleman who sold products on the street of an illegal nature that were ball-shaped - also leading to a lot of disposable income to buy anything they should like.

My reason for posting, even though I have been following this thread, is the comment about the bazooka exhaust by RR. I'm surprised to hear you say that it's obnoxious. I think the quiet mode on that exhaust seems tame enough. The Armytrix seems louder to me in their official video.

Armytrix I refer to -

Bazooka I refer to a member's post -

Default Personal Opinion

Hence: "Sound clips of the latter are entirely too obnoxious for my taste" and the part about seeing / hearing them in person too.

Videos are definitely helpful in trying to determine a product to purchase, and in my opinion only the Borla was not appealing whatsoever.

No, no. Totally understand the "my taste" thing. The reason I was so interested in your comment is that I was 10 minutes from buying the bazooka, which is what you mentioned but now you say Borla which are two different things. I have Borla now and yes it is a bit much for me which is why I'm getting something else. I don't want to get another that is just as bad. The Bazooka has valves just like your Armytrix. Only being able to hear them in videos has been very challenging. I think the Borla sounds good in videos, just no way to know how loud (in real life) and bassy it is. That is lost in youtube compression I guess. I just don't want to regret another exhaust.

Catbacks are one of the most difficult things to choose on with every car, next to wheels. But if you have an Apexi already and want to tone it down a bit, we carry a valvetronic axle back section (which is on sale) that way you can keep your mid pipe, and tone it down a bit, while giving you the option to make it obnoxious if wanted.

May be slightly lighter on your pocket, along with install would be seamless just being the axle back portion.

haha, nice. I recall the valves used to dump out under the car right under or behind the driver seat. Super short exhaust path, and super loud. Shut it when you get pulled over and beat the ticket.

This is the first thread I've seen where someone said there was done in the Invidia exhaust... my whole reasoning for buying this in a month or two when it comes in stock is the fact that so many people said there was no drone... Now I'm wondering? OP: Was it just that you weren't used to the exhaust or that it really was droning?

I feel like there would be more people chiming in saying it is dronie (that a word?). All the videos I've seen, seem like the exhaust is seriously on the tame side.

It is not about Invidia. OP is talking about Apexi. Completely different

@nigel821 Made this short clip for you. I am going from 10% to about 50% throttle up to around 6000 rpm. Could be much more aggressive, but this gives a good idea of tone/pitch/volume and loudness of this exhaust.
