What is the real value of a Lexus RCF
The real value is in driving it.
Pope Canyon Road, Napa County California, April 4th.
Conditions were perfect for a spirited drive.

Oh no, not a troll. I am new here. Saw a lot of threads, but not really any on peoples drives. Not just the daily drive but the fun back road or special drive you get to enjoy from time to time. So I figured I would see if it would have any interest.
I will keep posting my drives. We are looking at some heavy rain here in California this week so my RCF will be in the garage, but I will post some more photos here when I am back on the road.

I just spent the morning with a clay bar and then some wax cleaning up under the hood. Does any one else clean the engine side of the hood?

You know the roads up there! That is awesome. The Motorcycles were out in force last week. It is so pretty in the hills up there now! I stopped at Turtle Rock for a Red Bull and the bikes were pulling in and out. Some serious race bikes.
They had a serious fire last fall and all the trees are burned in the Turtle Rock area.

Got out for a quick drive today. Most beautiful day ever in Northern California. Liked how the Lexus emblem really stands out in the one photo. The black paint really reflects!

I would seriously love to know what my 2017 is "Worth" now after purchasing it just 2 weeks ago.
Still within the Window on choosing whether or not to get "GAP Coverage" on my Loan.
Since I bought the car for what I believe was an awesome Steal - The curiosity remains.......
Where is this vehicle right now in the "Fair Market Value" world & should I go ahead w the GAP??
Anyone else get GAP with their purchase due to this concern?

IMHO GAP is a rip off. Some may disagree.

I feel it depends on your loan. If you put a large sum down. Don't need it. If you financed most or all of the cars value and the term is long like 84 months it may make sense.
I did not get it due to putting a large sum down. I also hope to pay the car off with in a year or so.
They do sell it through my Allstate auto insurance. I think it is cheaper to buy it that way than from the dealer.

Lexus Test Driver
Recently, I took my RCF out of hibernation and drove 2 hours round trip and hit some curvy roads with the wife, daughter and her baby stroller. It was truly an eye opener. Once the car stays in high revs through the gears up and down, it truly shrinks around the driver and with TVD in track mode, pounces from corner to corner. Front end turns very aggressively and powering out of corner easily induces oversteer at just tap of the throttle at 1st and 2nd gear speeds. The downshifts under hard braking 4th to 3rd and 3rd to 2nd are furious. Sounds very angry, high strung and snarly.
Only downside was, on some crappy road patches, ride was HARSH on my RCF. However, it is a non-issue for me considering the rewarding experience.
Once I have significant seat time in my RCF, I have been waiting to write a detailed review

Hmmmm
Is it just me, or did someone just "Mis-Post" in the wrong thread?
(Like that word?) lol.

I know the title of this thread was a bit esoteric. Still when I bought my RCF I swore to myself I was going to drive the crap out of it. Park it anywhere and just enjoy the experience of it on the road. I just love how it pulls in second gear.
Great day in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
