Default ISF does 1/4 11.11 @128.3mph exciting times for Lexus RCF,ISF,GSF

I thought I'd share with you guys exciting times now for Lexus F owners whether it be RCF, GSF, ISF, LC 500 and the upcoming LCF. This DD full interior S/C ISF just set the world record over in Sacramento 11.11 @128.3 this ISF has a built bottom end as well as running a custom fuel system by RR racing they also did the motor work as well. The fuel system consist of a custom 50/50 E85 set up. He was very consistent with all six passes he made the slowest was a 11 .18 to his best run of 11.11 this was his first time out. He also extremely consistent 60-foot times all in the 1.8 range.

Now that tune has been established and ability to supercharge or turbocharge these cars is now available it's starting to pay off. And for all the naysayers who for years criticize Lexus as well as these three particular cars the RCF the ISF the GSF well there's a new sheriff in town and hes got a badge with a big F you on it.lol.

There's also a supercharged RCF that ran 10.8@130mph. Improvements to come hopefully.

That's a lot of money invested to only be running 11.1 @ 128mph

Quick for a Lexus nonetheless....

What is an average amount of money to spend to reliably run an 11.1? Seems like any car will be expensive to get to that speed.

A MK3 Supra could be pushed into the 11s for relatively cheaply. An intake, turboback exhaust and a manual boost controller pumped my friend's '97 TT from 285whp stock to almost 430 at the wheels and he had spent less than $1500 in 2001 dollars. He dropped over a second and a half in the 1/4.

Did he run high or low 11s? There is a massive difference. And how much would a clean Supra cost these days? You gotta count the cost of the car. Low 11s can be accomplished on an E85 tune and SC on this car with no engine work. This specific car just needed bottom end work. I think he had less power when this was posted then the E85 setups on a stock bottom end have now.

Older clean turbo cars are expensive now, and still need work due to age. Most are rusted. Boost lines degrade, plastic gets brittle. A clean unmolested Mark IV Supra can cost 70k now.

I think the cheapest way to reliable 11s would be a used Hellcat with drag radials, which will need rear end built, amongst other mods.

You can buy an RS3 and run 10s with a tune and FMIC.... but that’s a 50k plus car. Cheapest way Is probably a coyote or LS3 with supercharger. But those can only hold about 650 whp without a build.

Im not trying to debate. I just think reliable low 11s is a 50k cost, whether you spend most of it on the car or mods. We all know guys that ran 11s for cheap back in the day. None of them didn’t blow that I knew. Most people have to build for those speeds. It’s honestly cheaper to just buy a factory supercharged V8 I’m guessing.

Maybe I’m wrong?

That is awesome. Good news for F cars!

I love how every drag race thread turns into...

1 That is not very fast.

2 That is a lot of money for not much gain.

2 It can't be done.

3 My friend had an old car from 20 years ago that was faster for only 2K

4 Must be the track because that is impossible.

5 Or any other negating post possible.

Then this is followed up by, I will beat you and my car is faster, and put your money where your mouth is because I am a real driver with lots of experience.

Then finally someone says they will pay for everything to prove you can't do it or it can't be done.

That is why I love these threads....lol

Seriously, just thumbs up and move on lol.

On the other hand, none of your F cars can go over speed bump at 40 MPH like my crappy daily driver can and still drives, so I win.
