Prospective Buyer Info
My lease on my IS 350 is ending and I am looking to upgrade into a RC F. Hoping you guys can help me out with a few questions.
- Has anyone tried L/Certified Leasing? Is this possible for the RC F? I am seeing a few 2015/16 that are L/Certified in my area.
- Would a lease on a CPO model be better than leasing new with the December to Remember promos going on now?
- I would hope to find a car that has Collision Detection and the Adaptive Radar Cruise Control. I believe this was a $500 option at the time of purchase. However, I am not seeing many postings that have this explicitly mentioned. Do you know if most people opted not to get it? Or were most dealers ordering their cars with this option, thus making it basically a standard item?

Greetings! Where in California are you located? I work for a dealer in southern California and I can tell you 100% that you will get a far better payment leasing a brand new one with the december to remember programs than leasing a L/Certified one.
Couple reasons for this:
1) There is a $7,000 lease rebate on a new car while there is no rebate on certified.
2) The money factor for a L/Certified RC-F lease is standard rate (.002) which equates to almost 5% interest.
3) Leasing a certified vehicle requires 15k miles per year. There is no option for less so if you don't drive that much, you would be paying for miles you aren't using.
As far as the pre-collision system, I can say that every 2017 we have in inventory is equipped with that option and this has been the case for some time. The only package/option I haven't seen is the performance package. I am assuming they didn't sell at the $80k plus price point.
Hope this helps!

I bought a mildly used RCF with 8000 miles in a private sale so cannot comment on 1 or 2. However, for 3, I have all of the options you can possibly get on the RCF including the TVD and carbon fiber. The radar guided cruise control, pre-collision monitoring, intuitive parking assist, lane departure assist, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert all are great and very useful features. I have used the intuitive parking assist, lane departure, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert, radar cruise control quite a bit in the one month I drove it. Highly recommended.
