Are the MODEL S P90D Fast?
Got a man who drives a white 90d in my neighborhood somewhere and tonight while going back home, he was tailgating me. Stood at a red light and he gunned it while I was watching him speed towards our entrance which was only 1/4 mile away. My neighbor probably did not know I lived in the same neighborhood and when we both entered into our neighborhood, he took a different route to his house. I always see him pass by my house but he went the long way this time to probably disguise himself lol. I am guessing these cars are faster than our cars even if it doesn't have the Ludacris option? Got a better look at the white tesla and man, these cars look so plain and ugly.

The new Dodge Demon I hear was purposely built to beat it.

I recently visited a cousin in the Bay Area (Norcal) who mentioned she had recently bought a Tesla. She's a 75 yo retired teacher, so I assumed it would be one of the lower powered versions. To my surprise, was a P90D (Model S). She insisted I drive it, and I did not hesitate.
I have an Isf with full bolt ons and light 18 in. wheels, so I know what a quick car feels like. But this Tesla blew my mind with it's acceleration. I didn't get a chance to try it from a standing start (cousin & her 100 yo aunt were passengers), but I did get in a couple of 20 - 60 mph runs.
Other impressions: The Model S feels about 1000 lb. lighter than it's 5000 lb. curb weight due to it's low center of gravity. And the regenerative braking forcefully slows the car as soon as you lift off the right pedal.

P - stands for performance
D- stands for dual battery
90 is the 90 KW battery
This is the best model of the car you can get. AKA Insane mode. YouTube - its faster than a ferrari and most cars on the road. So, short answer, the car is stupid fast.

This is a entirely different animal so I don't think it's reasonable to compare internal combustion engine cars. They have a much higher RPM potential and don't need a transmission to stay in a torque band like an IC car. It's really apples to oranges. It's like comparing a prop plane to a jet. There are some kick-*** prop planes out there (i.e. P-51 Mustang) but they'll never compete with an F-16.
