Thickness of Paint?
Hi,
I took my car for an appraisal to a dealer and they told me that its paint is too thick on the hood (around 9 mils). Usually Lexuses have around 6-7 mils of paint so they thought it had been damaged. I took it to a body shop and asked them to measure the thickness. Turned out that the paint is consistently thick: 9-11 mils on all parts of the body. I am a second owner of the car so I don't know if that is specific to the model or the whole body was repainted to cover something up. Have you ever measured paint thickness on your Lexus RC F?

What color is it currently? Might be curious if they pinged it with a spectrometer to see if it matches any current lexus paint, etc?
