Side Mirror Cover Removal
So if anyone is wondering like I did. This is how you remove the mirror covers.
The mirror is clipped on the housing by 4 clips, marked in red. Pry gently and start from one corner and work around. Disconnect the wiring, the heated plugs are removed by just pulling them off.
To remove the housing remove the 5 screws marked in yellow. Pull the housing off by separating starting from the outside and working inward. IT DOES NOT TAKE FORCE TO SEPARATE!

Hi Hai, I purchased a CF overlay for the mirrors which was garbage, it then got me thinking how hard it was to remove the actual mirror cover to find out. Now that I know I can remove it, I was planning on sending my covers out to have it carbon professionally. I actually have the vent on order with Carbon Exchange (RCF_700) depending how the vent turns out I will probably see if he can make it for me, not an overlay but full replacement part.

Howzit "pheen"!
Great "how to" and pics man, thanks for posting!
I was wondering a few things: did you use just your fingers to pull off the mirror? Did you "adjust" the mirror angled in or out before pulling it off? And lastly, is the cover (painted part) one piece (together with the part that the LED turn signal cut out, black piece) or is that black piece with the cut out a separate piece? I hope that makes sense. lol
Thanks for your time brother!

Hi Pheen, I’m about to replace my driver side side mirror glass, was there a glue or sticky white substance under the mirror when you removed it? I see it in some other mirror removal videos for other Lexus cars.
