Default Newbie Window Question....

Sorry in advance for the dumb newbie questions, but when I open the drivers door ,the window drops a tad and goes up the minute I close the door. However, the passenger side window does nothing when the door opens. Is that normal or do I have any settings wrong or a defect. Thanks in advance!

it should drop to break the seal, if it isn't dropping it isn't sealing correctly.. take it in.

mjeds is correct. Both windows should drop about 0.5 cm when the door is opened and go back up when the door closes. There should not be a difference on the passenger side. I had a window regulator go bad on my Viper and the glass would not drop down, so when the door closed the glass clipped the roof edge - no damage but a nasty sound. It was a ridiculously expensive part on the Viper ($800!), but covered by warranty.

If the window is rolled down at all , it wont do that. Make sure the windows all the rolled up.
