Does the RC (F or otherwise) have the worst resale of any Lexus?

Do you plan on keeping it stock?
As for leveling out, hard to make conjectures given that this is only the 3rd year for the entire line.
Personally I'm estimating $10k drop each year until it hits $40-$45k.

it has already hit that mark, and it is still dropping, current trade value is between $38K and $42K regardless of what KBB tells you, the real world is offering under $40K for a 2 year old under 20K mile RCF on a trade. Private Party resale is about $45k-$47k

I see it as too much money lost, when a little bit of effort could make you multiple thousands of dollars.
If one's time is more valuable than that, then that's absolutely fine, and we can just call it "to each his own".
For my calculations:
Assuming that the hypothetically new 2015 model was purchased during the dealer rebate/over-production period [Not Full MSRP], that's probably about $65-$70k for Non-TVD packaged RCF's.
After 2 years, selling it at $45-$50k feels about right ($10k/yr).
If 2016 models sell for avg $50k next year, and 2017's sell for $55k (bought mine at $65k) I think my calculations are not far off.
As for leveling out, it might be that I'm being too optimistic/hopeful that it doesn't decline as fast after $40k.
We'll know if I'm right or wrong by next year.

Either a 15 or 16, and more than likely, it will have bolt on parts.

Why not have both?
I like all of my toyotas that I've owned (Highlander's Tacoma, Tundra, mr2's ) and they have all kept terrific value.

Let's look at a few other models:
2017 Base model GT R - $109.000 - 2015 Version currently at $63400.00 - kept 57% value
2017 Corvette Z06 convertible - $86475.00 - 2015 version $59900 - kept 69%
2017 BMW M4 convertible $74700 - 2015 version $50621 - Kept 67%
2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 S - $75200 - 2015 version $50787 - Kept 67%
2017 Audi S7 $79900 - 2015 version - $56000 - Kept 70%
2017 Lexus RC F Base price $64165. 2015 version $42136 - 65% of value retained
I took the base model info as best as I could find for 2017 versions. For the 2015 versions, I used KBB value, excellent condition with 40000 miles for each.

Wouldn't taking the 2015 MSRP (in 2015) vs 2015 KBB values have been a better and more accurate comparison?

a little under 10k markup from your trade in. I see it selling at 51-52. A cool 5-6k profit

So long as I break even when I sell it (meaning that I don't owe money to the finance company over the trade in value) then I don't care. I consider the monthly payment the cost of driving the car. If I get money back, great. If not, not worries.
If I traded it in right now I'd certainly still owe money though since I put $0 down. But I have no plans to trade it in yet. If it gets totaled then I'm covered from GAP insurance.
