Please help me confirm wheel and tyre sizing
Hi Guys,
New member here from Sydney, Australia.
Picked up a 1yo RC F with sub 10 km a few weeks ago and loving it.
Previously owned a CT 200h F Sport, so quite an upgrade.
I'm a complete amateur with cars and would really like some help with wheels and tyres.
I'll only use this car as a daily driver, no track.
Firstly, I want to lower it a little with Swift springs and the posts on this forum seem to confirm this is a good method to lower it.
Next, I want some nicer wheels.
The ones I like for my budget are these Niche Vincenza - M153
http://www.nicheroadwheels.com/vicenza-m153-w-16007.htm
I'd like to get 20x9 in front and 20x10 1/2 in back.
My tyre preference would be Fronts: 255/35/20 Rears: 295/30/20 (even 305 if possible).
However, the place I enquired proposed this:
Niche Vicenza – Dark Tint
20x9
20x10
These sizes are your best bet in terms of fitment. They come in an offset that will sit nice and aggressively on your car giving it a mean stance without going over the top. If we were to go with 20x10.5 on the rears, it will sit out 15mm past the guards which won’t look good on your car.
With tyres, your most recommend tyre size to ensure clearance and no rubbing:
Achilles ATR Sport 2
Fronts: 255/30/20
Rears: 275/30/20
Can anybody confirm any information on this please.
I really want the deeper wheel and wider tyre on the back for looks.
Really appreciate any alternative suggestions or advice.
Thanks.

You can easily do 20x10.5 on the rear, or 20x11. As for how far it sticks out, that's all related to the wheel offset.
Here's a link to a wheel offset calculator to help you out:
http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator
On order I have 20x9 rims for front with 265/30/20, and 20x10.5 rear with 305/30/20.

Thanks Boss,
I've been reading threads on here for 2 days straight now, and also Googling everything.
I believe my fronts will be fine.
However, the offset on the 20x10.5 inch rear wheels I want are 30mm, I believe the original offset for the 10 inch rims are 41mm.
By the calculator, The new rims would stick out an extra 17mm, would this be ok without rubbing?
I want to get 285 tyres on, so I guess this would add an extra 5mm width sticking out, totaling 22mm wider than stock.
Will this rub when lowered on Swift springs or should it be fine?
Thanks a lot.

I would post a message asking those on Swift springs what they are running without a rub. Good luck!
Also, check out the tires/wheels thread. Page 12 has some pics of a lowered RC with very wide rims/tires.
