I'd like to thank Steve @ Mod in Japan for his help in not only getting a fair price on the Apex unit, but setting up the install at Apex! It was a pleasant experience meeting the Apex team. I had total peace of mind having the manufacturer doing the work. They're kind enough to also wrap up my stock parts for storage.
I went with the resonated version, full stainless. My plan is to ceramic coat the cans in a semi-gloss black when I find some time in the day. Had a chance to hear Apex's non-resonated RCF car. Resonated is at the borderline of what I could personally tolerate in exhaust noise. The sound is a silky V8 note and it doesn't drone at any speed. Apex really gave a lot of thought into designing this thing. TIG welds. 100% made in Japan. Pipes are tight against the under-carriage and TVD as they expected many of us to lower our cars which mine is. Reuses all OEM fitment points so the thing doesn't budge over even the bumpiest of roads which is a pet peeve of mine. Top class.
I told them to make a proper set of headers with no concessions like OEM.
