ALL,

I'm in the Military and I hadn't drove my RCF in a few months. I brought it down to Ft. Bragg, N.C. and I noticed that my Enform wasn't working. More specifically the Remote Start. The car will start and the phone will say it started but it cuts off after 15 or 20 seconds and the APP resets on my phone.

I tried trouble Shooting:SO FAR I HAVE.......
1. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Lexus Enform App on my phone.

2. Disconnected the Battery for 10 mins and reconnected the battery

I'm 2 1/2 hours from the nearest Lexus dealer and the Rep. at the Toyota Dealer in Fayetteville N.C. said they cant work on it cause they are not a certified Lexus dealer. This is after the Lexus Dealer in Winston-Salem N.C. in this area told me I could take it to Toyota.

Also I have an engine code for Oxygen sensor (right bank).

Hey man, that Enform APP is really tricky. I caught hell to make it work with DROID OS.
Getting your car serviced, you may have to try Johnson Lexus in Raleigh or Durham. The have gave me a loaner every time I have taken my RC in for service with no problem with time or distance driven. That engine code definitely is a warranty coverage item.

This is disturbing. The Enform App remote start is kind of held up as a marquis feature by the Lexus sales people. Is it always this unreliable?

Type of phone
You say car started, is it the shutting off? Are you unlocking the car or opening the trunk? Either will turn off the remote start

You said the app resets on your phone. Does that mean it crashed? Or it's not communicating with the car?

I've noticed that connection can be spotty in some areas. I don't know who Lexus uses as their data carrier, I know that gym used Verizon and I never had an issue, around here AT&T service blows and every one I know that has them always drops connection.

Based on the connection issues I experience with my RCF I believe Lexus IS using AT&T as their carrier because the signal issues are similar to the ones I experience with AT&T cell service.

 

May want to call Enform customer service. I had a similar issue and it turned out that enform remote had a service disruption and some accounts lost the services link. Lexus Enform did a "data reset" or some thing tech thing an 12 hours later working fine.
