Emergency Spare Solutions?
Just had my first high speed blow out - a large bolt blew a rear tire - the hole was too large for me to even bother with the emergency repair kit so instead waited for 2 hours for Lexus roadside assistance! My RC F was hauled to a Lexus dealer in CT - note they scraped my exhausts dragging it onto a flat bed. need to make sure that they use wood planks to reduce the sharp angle. At the dealership I waited a further 60 mins for them to look at the car... another 30 mins for them to figure that I needed a new tire... another 15 minutes to figure that they didn't have one in stock but they would have it tomorrow! At this point I gave up with the service department and found the general manager thinking outside the box I asked if he would loan me a car so I could get my tire fixed somewhere else - no joy - then asked if he would sell me a tire off one of the RC F on the sales floor - this he agreed to even though I had the Lexus Tire and wheel protection they made me pay cash charging me $394 for the tire $63 for labor $7.06 for something and $29.47 tax grand total $493.53 of which I will get back $384.95.
I called my dealer and they can get hold of an emergency spare for the Guam market for $1500 that seems ridiculously expensive. Does anyone have any other solutions or suggestions.

Damn... All in the name of weight savings...
What tore the rear liner ??
Keeping a Full size IS F wheel & tire in the RC F trunk can become a real drag...
