I'm taking my car in this friday for some development work done at AFE. They will be prototyping an intake and exhaust. I'll let you know the details once I drop it off. Also, after that, ARK performance wants the car for a week for exhaust as well as Tanabe mid August. Exhaust options are coming guys!

Default Borla Exhaust

I know this had it's own thread, but it should also be in the aftermarket options one too. As a former owner of this on the ISF, I am very excited to see how this turns out. No idea of any performance gains yet, nor could I find any info on a possible release date.

I think it sounds awesome though!

Can anybody tell me how to dis-connect those 2 silver alum. brackets (has the lil' black plastic pop screws connected to the black plastic piece between the 2 mufflers) i know the ones at the rear by the bumper just pop off but i can't get the ones off that's on the alum. brackets! I think it would be easier to take that black plastic piece off & put my diffusers on & then just put the whole piece back on, instead of getting under the car & installing them. Thanks

I spoke with ISS Forged and the exhaust system should be available very soon. They are using 321 stainless which is lighter than 304 used on other systems. I was told hp gains were 29 wheel hp and torque increase came in at 60lb/ft to the wheels. That is much more torque than I have seen any other system make. The price quoted was $4,995 plus shipping.
This is not toward you. I know you are only repeating what they told you. However I emailed them and they said the weight difference will be 60% savings. I looked up 321 vs 304 and the weight comparison was similar so I don't know where the difference lies (thickness of piping?).
That combined with the enormous 60 ft/lb gain is a couple of red flags for me. I am hopeful it's true because they had a good system when I had my IS-F.

I've ordered a set of Magnaflow. Should be getting them sometime next week. I'll post something as soon as I get it installed. $1100 shipped. Pretty good deal. I've had a set of Magnaflow on my 3IS350F-sport before and loved them!

NOVEL and AIMGAIN Exhausts are available for immediate order; however, they do take time to build as they are each custom built to order. The NOVEL exhaust is actually an electronically controlled variable valve system so you can open or close valves in the exhaust to change the sound and pitch.

The AIMGAIN exhaust is available with carbon tips or titanium tips.

Rowen is releasing their full titanium exhaust very soon as well. Rowen exhausts quality is by far some of the best in the industry. Titanium has such an awesome sound compared to stainless exhausts. Here is a little video link to the Rowen full titanium exhaust. https://video-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hv...21&oe=55B1A8D3

There's another Japanese company called Zee's Racing that makes a stainless steel with titanium tip systems as well. They offer oval or round tips.

I have links and photos to all of them below.

If you have any other questions or would like info on any of these, feel free to email me directly at bo@bulletproofautomotive.com or PM me. Thanks!!

Just got my PTS / JoeZ cat back installed. Very pleased and price seems reasonable at ~ $2K. I never take any of the quoted gains from bold-on mods very seriously but my butt feels like it's movin' faster with PTS/JoeZ and it makes the ASC irrelevant at 4500+ RPMs, so I have zero regrets.

Wow, almost GTR sized. How do you like it so far? Was this axle-back?

yea, they are pretty big. a bit louder than I anticipated. I was expecting it to be close to Magnaflow's 3IS350 exhaust. This set sounds deeper and a bit louder. sounds very good. and yea, its an axle-back. pretty simple install.
