Default Lease Quotes RCF & RC

Hey all,

I went to the recent Asphalt Up event here in Atlanta, it was awesome and I definitely want one of these cars. However for those looking to lease here is a heads up.

Spoke to my dealer here today in Atlanta, cars will be arriving this week which was awesome news however the price... Not so much...

Long story short, you're going to get hammered. Priced out a lease on a 55k F sport with $3,500 down $845 monthly payment also priced out the RCF which was well over 1k

I can't put to words how disappointing this is.

I certainly wasn't expecting to pay the same amount I would pay for an 85k Porsche Cayman S lease, I will tell you that much. My IPL Infiniti was 55k with a payment of 489 so....

Give it time, it will get better. Right now you're dealing with terrible money factors and selling at MSRP, likely they're even padding more profit in the MF because they can. The residuals I would bet are pretty good, once you can get a few K off of the MSRP and the MFs come down the leases will improve tremendously.

I had them quote a lease on a 2013 ES350 when they first came out, it was the first one they had. The payment with nothing down was $770 a month....$43k MSRP. So, I waited 6 months and now I have a $60k GS for $700 a month. Had I waited 6 more months I'd have the same GS for $600 a month LOL.

Right now is the WORST time to lease an RC.

See if you can find out the residual and the MF?

If the RC-F remains low volume and sells for near sticker, it may remain a huge difference in lease cost from an RC350 F Sport. Those of you with the IS-F, how do they lease compared to an IS350? It would not surprise me to have different residuals and MFs for the RC-F vs the RC. But, for the 350 I bet within 6 months or so a loaded $55k F Sport can be bought for $50-51k, with lease cash and you'd have a $650 or so payment with $0 down.

RC/RC-F debut is coming. I don't think you'll get a great lease deal on any car that's brand new to any manufacturer lineup. You'll probably have to wait a year or so before you see lease deals come up.

Anything low volume ie RC, GS will not lease well OP. Nature of the game. Besides, these are Lexus's they can't be cheap. We want parity with the Euros. Elevate!

How is GS or RC low volume?
These are regular models which are expected to sell 2-3,000 units each month.

Also GS leases extremely well actually.
RC will also lease well but not for first couple months, RCF will be different story because that model will be low volume.

Compared to IS, ES, RX they seemingly are. But correction I was thinking of the GSh which does not lease well

Thats a fairly low optioned car and $2,500 down plus taxes is pretty unattractive.

The dealership reached back out to me and basically asked me to wait until December because they think that they will have some good lease deals together by then.

Yes the lease deals on the RC are crap. I went in to work a deal today and learned the following:

27 month 10K miles residual 72%
24 month 10K miles residual 74%
Money factor the quoted me for both terms .0028!! That is 6.75% interest! And I have a 780+ credit rating!

The residual values are very good but I have never heard of such a high money factor. I suspect the dealer was jacking up the rate. Their greed cost them a sale today though. The difference between this and a reasonable rate, say .001 or 2.5%, is roughly $180 a month difference on a 24 month lease. Ridiculous

Its all a function of supply and demand. Right now the base MF from Lexus is bad, and the dealer can inflate it because they can. give it time.

Didn't cost them a sale, its probably already sold by now.

^^This. You can get a "fair" deal depending on the timing. Be prepared to pay a premium right now, or save a little when supply is plentiful.
