BTW if anyone needs a 24% discount on a particular mildly equipped new RCF let me know. I just got an offer for one that I`m gonna pass due to a better TVD equipped one .

This is absolutely correct, and should be very easy to see based on the sales prices posted above. The prices only vary by $5k and this is for all milage and all options! Your options aren't going to make a huge difference on trade in, BUT the dealer might try to use them against you when selling you a more loaded car. This is precisely why Porsche caps the maximum value of a car that is able to be residualized in a lease at $126k; more options do not add more value. The biggest takeaway from this is that if you have a 2015 Lexus RC-F your car is now a $5x,xxx car. I am posting this because I am in the market, and am considering both new and used, and I want to help others that are purchasing now make the best and most informed decision possible.

Now, as far as dealers not knowing what options or condition the cars are in when they purchase them, this is completely false. 99% of the action listings are much more detailed than even the best autotrader ads. They know exactly what they are getting when they are bidding wether it is in person or from their office. How much they care I do not know. I will add that the only way for me to know what options the cars that sell have is to follow it through the action which I am currently doing with the 18 RCF's that are up for sale. There are quite a few Carbon models, two with less than 200 miles, that I will be watching closely.

I will be happy to stick around and update with more auction pricing and other information I have as I am also researching this car amongst several others for a replacement for my M3 lease which ends this July.

That would be awesome if you could keep us posted on the 15 RCF auction value.

Will do! I prefer to make an informed and well thought out purchase, and I enjoy the process. To be honest I really love my M3, and would probably hold onto it a bit longer, but the lease is up this July and I do not plan to buy it out after the way I have driven it the last 20k miles! Wife is driving it now so it will be driven no harder than your average Corolla for the last 5k of the lease, but I spent A LOT of time around 8,400 RPMS when she was mine!

Right now I am thinking it will be in my best interest, if I decide to go with the RCF, to find a lightly used 2015 model around May or June and then trade the M3 in on it. I should be able to get a pretty good number on trade vs the payoff thus possibly leaving me with a few thousand in equity from the M3, or at worst at least a few thousand less in taxes and lease end fees I would have to pay in the case that I simply turned the car in.

Yea but M3s are meant to be driven hard. My SA said that those with numerous issues down the line on older bimmers such as oil consumption etc were usually those who drove their Bimmer like an old lady. Their engines prefer non-stop italian tune up jobs rather then below 2k driving lol

It was $11k for the exhaust and Vossen rims and then a couple extra grand for some other smaller things I can't remember off the top of my head.

How hard was it to negotiate on a 2015 RCF or is the dealership I went to dumb? I just went to the dealer to test drive one, and I tried to negotiate on a 2015 and they were trying to play it as if i was absurd getting more than $2000 off of MSRP on a 2015. And I've read on here the RC Fs aren't exactly selling all that hot and people were getting a 73-75k MSRP down to low 60s.

Well I've gone to a few dealers and the lowest discount I was able to get was 10k of msrp without a hassle. But went to one today that had no clue that other dealers were giving that much off. Another dealer had a $79k with $15k discount and $699 + tax, tag and title with $5k down but when I went to the dealer to negotiate the monthly a little lower, a sales rep had crashed it during a test drive. I'd suggest going to another dealer.
