Wow! Those real life pictures of that m4 made it look terrible. Or maybe that's why bmw is coming out with all these bright colors to hide the ugliness. It literally looked like someone took a regular 4-series and started cutting up the bumper into various angled slits. There's no fluidity to the design at all.
If Lexus plays it smart and prices the RCF properly, this is their battle to lose except for die-hard fan boys. I would take a serious look at the m4 if the RCF ends up 70k plus, otherwise this is no brainer (Obviously assuming both cars end up being great).

Looks is always subjective and I expect the majority here will defend Lexus since this is a Lexus site just like if you go to a BMW site or even an NSX site where they defend the car over a GT3....
Sure the RCF does stand out but does it do so in a good way? Again this is subjective
All I was pointing out is Lexus needs a 4-door version if they want to appeal to more people. For many a 2-door just doesn't suffice.
I personally do NOT like the M4 either, I feel it looks like a bloated 6-series. On the BMW forums they compare the M4 to the new Vette a lot since people there think buyers would cross-shop both cars. I do not agree but oddly I don't see the Vette being mentioned here much.
The M3 sedan however has very nice lines and interior cabin space is on par with the old e60 M5. It's a very clean car that optioned out conservatively will be right around low to mid 70's. Once this car goes over $80k which is possible, you are closing in on the 991 price range and which point it's not such a good value.
Lexus needs to keep this car around $70k for it to sell, if it goes into the low to mid 80's I think many many buyers will start to think 991's which is a totally different caliber of vehicles.

Lexus needs a four door? That is why they have the ISF
Honestly I don't care for the M4 it doesn't catch my attention like it should... and the boring sound it make from the exhaust just makes it worse... I much rather the angry aggressive character of the RCF. The M3 catches my attention more which is weird because you would think you would like the coupe more then the sedan but the M3 is better looking.
Like other performance models I don't think Lexus is building this to be a sale champ or to see good sales. This Is a car they need to have in their lineup in order for them to be taken seriously and be looked at as a legit option to the German autos.
In comparison to the Vette.. I have no doubt in my mind that the RCF can run line for line with the vette outright beating the Vette hard to say because we have no reviews of the RCF as of yet but the vette has been getting awesome reviews. I honestly don't think they will be crossed shopped a vette buyer and RCF buyer in my mind are two different kinds of people... even tho boths cars have V8 engines

Saw the M4 in person. IMO not much different from the current 3/m3 inside out. Like someone mentioned the M3 two gens before wowed me but not this one. I too wanted that car. BTW, did we all see the specs for these cars? Looks like the m4 will be chasing the rc f.

I wish that could happen sooner. I would like to have the 4-door practicality of the IS-F with all of the goodies of the RC-F. Hopefully, they will announce it in the next few months.

Loaded would mean every option. I also noticed you built a M3 and I built a M4. Did you miss that or go for the cheaper car to prove some wrong point? The M4 is a coupe like the RC F is a coupe, as in 2-doors.
I have much love for the M3/M4 and I'm not going to ever beat it up or bash it so please don't go there. The fact is you can hit 75k easy and it is 90k loaded.

Please don't ever accuse me of false info. If you want to say "this is my build" you can do so. Not sure if you could comprehend what I said but I stated I can get it to 75k easy and 90k loaded.

"I got the M4 to 75k easy and fully loaded I got the M3 to right under 90k!!"
Please show me how u got to 90k????
The fact of the matter is both M3 and M4 come very well equipped and all the carbon pieces are STANDARD!

I said got the M4 to 75k easy and the M3 to 90k loaded. How on earth is that false info? I'm not even saying 90k loaded is bad, it clearly has 8k ceramic brakes. All I said is it is 90k loaded. I do that when I play around and build cars, nothing to get defensive about.

FYI, the RC is loaded at around 70-72k, the carbon package around 76-78k. I assume you can hit 80k with some accessories and maybe changing wheels (I think there are 5 choices).
To me they both are awesome so far on paper, I will not beat one on or the other.
