Howdy all,
Does anyone else think the stock horn is wimpy? I get the Japanese folks might be polite and all, good on them, but this horn is too quiet! I've had multiple occasions where I'm almost merged into on the highway, and this seemingly kei-car-derived horn leaves the semi driving oaf none the wiser to my presence.
After browsing these forums, I haven't found anything in the RC/RCF category. If anyone has found a thread and would link it I would greatly appreciate it.
I saw an IS guy reference the "PIAA Bass Horn" in a thread 1 decade ago. Can anyone please qualify this or provide their solution? Plug & play would be ideal.

 

I came pretty close to installing a set of Nissan Sports Horns. Have a set on my 240SX because if you think our horns are bad, they were worse in the 90s. I decided not to bother because I realized I don't really use my horn that much.

Think I have a video in YouTube that shows the sound. Can dig up a link if you want it. They are pretty loud.

 

I've always like hella supertones being a subie dude. I have a set or two actually that I might put on the RCF and CT.

Lexus/Toyota also make a luxury horn that is supposed to be an upgrade in sound/loudness. I see them on yahoo japan parts all the time. You can get them here on ebay but the price is higher. I'd have to find the part number.
