Trickle charger setting
Hi everyone, sorry for the newb question but did a bit of digging in the manual and online and can't seem to figure this out. I just took delivery of a 2022 RC-F. Is the oem panasonic battery AGM or just regular. Just want to use the correct setting when plugging in my trickle charger. I'm leaning towards regular because it should say AGM otherwise, but figured I'd double check. Thanks!

Due to the reduced amount of amps from a "trickle charger", you don't have to worry about overcharging. If you are using a "smart charger", it's even better as it will regualate the charge depending on it's needs. Usually either one only puts out around 1-2 amps of current.

I know your RCF is brand new, but throwing it out there for the future (since we both live in Calgary), I bought the AntiGravity Lithium Ion battery with internal battery management system and also a built in jumpstart feature. It actually manages the battery charge internally and prevents the battery from draining. I basically just disconnect the negative terminal and then over the winter just start it once in a while and let it run. I don't need any trickle charger for it. Also, they are supposed to last twice as long as the OEM Panasonic battery (mine lasted only 4 years). It is also 27 lbs lighter than the OEM battery according to my own weight comparison.
Again, your car is brand new, but the OEM Panasonic are fairly cr*ppy batteries and are known to last only 4 years or so.
