Front/rear fender vents made functional??
I have always been a major fan of the RC F and is my dream car. The RC 350 F-Sport, however, is a more practical financial decision for me. What I have always disliked though about the RC 350 is that the front/rear fender vents are not functional and not to my taste as a "cosmetic" or "eye candy". Is there a conversion kit for those vents or would it require a different front bumper overall? If so, wouldn't the cost be to the point where I might as well just go for the RC F instead? Is there any way they can be made to replicate the vents on RC F?
Even if you put a RCF front end on your car, there's nothing in the lower fender area that needs cooling so it would still be cosmetic. The RCF has an oil cooler and trans cooler, but the lower models have neither (and would not need either unless you're driving track regularly).
Also as similar as the bodies may seem the RCF panels will not fit an RC 250/300/350. So even if you feel the cosmetics are worth it the hood will not fit because of the quarter panels and front bumper. The quarter panels will not fit because of the side skirts, etc.
P.S. If you do decide to do this please let us know as I would love to see the RCF guys lose their **** over this.
