2015 RC - future value - depreciation ?
Hello,
I'm debating on a 2015 RC ~50.000KM ~32k$
How much will it depreciate over 4 years and 6 years ?
Will I get at least 15k$ in 6 years ?
Normally I check current value of older car, but in case of RC there's not much history (except the IS-C which is not in same category anyway)
Thanks

I bought a 2015 RC350 F Sport AWD with 23k miles for $37k Dec 2017. CPO, two sets of mats and as mint as you can get. The value has taken a total crap, it seems you can find these cars for $23-27k now. Putting $11k down I'm just about even after 18 month of payments, I'm personally shocked at how bad the 15's fell off in value.
That being said that price is way too high IMO, I find Carguru's have a fairly good grasp on pricing and what qualifies as a good or bad price. In the end a car is almost never a good investment so buy what you like.

I bought a 2016 CPO RC 350 Fsport with 2,700 miles for $39 a year ago in April. It has 23k miles now. I am having another kid so I just went to see about getting into something with 4 doors and was offered $27k for it. There is no way to tell how much these things will be worth in xyears or how fast they will depreciate. The gfact that there is now a newer generation of RCs means that the 1st gens will probably drop in value.

32k$ is the cheaper in whole Canada, and it is weirdly located in quebec / montreal. Of course canada' price of RC was way much new than USA.
I can get an RC300 2017 and same price as RC350 2015... i'm wondering which one is the best based on value.
I do have more than twice money than price of car, money is not an issue for a ~30.000$ car ... but I hope to get at least half of my money back after 4 years ...
Is the RC300 is that much noticably slower than RC350? I will go check some review .. i don't like too much the halogen head light of the RC300..

I think aside from the price the difference will be the ar vs gr engine choices with gr being a clear advantage over the long haul. The choice will come down to what you will consider a better value depending on how long you intend to keep the unit and if 300 feels it has sufficient umph and power vs your expectations.

The market for these cars has taken a dump, as the lease cars have started to flood the market.
I just paid $30k for my 31k mile 2016 AWD 350 F Sport. I could have bought the same car ‘off lease’ for $25k from Florida.
$15k in 3ys with 100k miles for me is hopeful. More likely $10-12k.
Unless the word on what good value these cars are gets out between now and then you can expect a good shot of depreciation, though not as bad as say Audi.
If if you want good value, find a cheap low miles FJ. Those things really hold their $$$. Just like my old squeeze of Subaru STis. But after 5 of them, I wanted something different / more refined.
