Default RC350 comes out of Drive

Typically this will happen when the vehicle is cold. If I come to an abrupt stop the transmission comes out of Drive and into Neutral. I then have to manually place it back in Drive. Obviously I am taking it into Lexus but wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Never had this happen in any car and taking it to the dealer is your best bet. Good luck.

This is a coworker of mine. The linkage rod was damaged. There is a much bigger story to his whole situation and it really sucks. Let me just say that I thought if a car was repaired by a dealership (a toyota dealership) and the previous owners insurance company paid 1,000's of $$$ to repair the vehicle that there would be a carfax report on it. It was only reported as "service" just like oil changes or scheduled mileage service It appears that I was wrong. He did not buy the car from that toyota dealership.

Carfax reports are just about worthless. The only thing I would believe is if there is an actual accident that shows up on the report. Never believe that a clean carfax means no issues.

And that is why I always laugh when anyone is selling a a vehicle and states that it has a clear history report of any kind.
Now I am just curious, was it a transmission repair that they had to remove it and damage the linkage putting it back in?

Unless your RC has over 70k miles on it, transmission problems should be covered by the Lexus powertrain warranty.
