Default Headlight Testing Results

I came across this interesting test result for our RC350. Click on Headlights and you'll see the test results for both regular HID lights and triple beam lights. The triple beam got a poor rating while the regular beam got an acceptable rating. I always thought the triple beam was better. Thoughts?

I was not happy with the headlights on my 2014 GS 350 F Sport. So when I ordered the RC 350 F Sport I got the "upgraded" and more expensive triple beam LEDs. I am not that impressed with them. I had to adjust them (aim them higher) just to get a decent view of the road ahead. Where they are really bad is along the sides when making a sharp turn or cornering.
At night we much prefer to drive my BMW X5 because the visibility is so much better and safer. It has adaptive headlights with addition cornering lights.
The Lexus's I have owned with better headlights are my 2006 LS 430, 2012 LS 460, and 2013 GS 350 Luxury. They all had adaptive front lighting systems.

I had to raise my headlights too cause they were aimed too low. I have the regular ones though and they're all LEDs by the way, no more HIDs.

Even on my old 14 GS I had to raise the headlights a bit too and I would say my RC's LED headlights are on par with the GS' HIDs.

Good find Mike!

Hello friends. Sorry, if I do not write correctly, I'm from Ukraine)
I bought the USA Lexus RC 200T F, at Copart, after the damage. The seller said that everything will be fine, but the damage is strong) I try to repair the car, it's very cool). I have a question. I had headlights with two lenses, older ones. Is it possible to install new headlamps, with three crystals? Very beautiful? What is needed for this? Replace only the headlights or need to change many parts? Thank you!

Did you have the dealer do it or was it a DIY?

I did it myself, just a few turns with a big screwdriver. It was quite a bit of turns actually since they were aimed way too low.
