LED turn signal swap
#16
I got my resistors installed today in the rears. Sure enough hyperblinking is gone and I am a happy camper. Definitely more room to install resistors in the rear area over the front. I ended up using t-taps with no issues.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but white turn signals will be illegal in all 50 states. You may not get pulled over immediately for it, but it won't pass inspection.
Red/Amber are okay for the rear turn signals, but the front turn signals must be amber legally. You can run switchbacks if it's a dual-filament socket, but it's not legal to run single-filament white.
A non-flashing, white running light will be okay though!

I originally bought 2x pairs of these for my RC:
https://www.amazon.com/iJDMTOY-Resis...istor+required
Well I ended up going with these
http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Error-Free-...s-p/20-009.htm
They had a photo that just convinced me to try them out
Hopefully they work in the front WITHOUT adding another resistor or else I'm gonna have to make some magic happen
I didn't want yellow. Just 5k white light. You are able to get red, yellow, and white I believe.

How did you guys switch up the front turn signal bulbs to the LEDs?
I checked the manual and it said to change them from the bottom by the tires, take off the fender and go from there..... Seems kinda odd to me.
I've always changed bulbs from under the hood. What did you guys do to change it, and are there any vids out there that you looked at,

I have them and are Plug and Play
Has anyone changed that orange front turn signal bulb into an LED turn signal?
I know the front is a 7444 bulb. But switching to a LED you'd need a resistor?
I hate Splicing the wires and making it look messy,
Is there an ALL WHITE LED you've used that had a resistor already attached?
I've seen them for the rear ( but different bulb size. The rear is a 7440).

you have to turn your front wheels so you can pull back the fender well a little. It’s not that bad but make sure you take your time and put a piece of electrical tap around the bulb and connector to keep it from detaching after installing the led. It happened and it was sitting inside the lens compartment.

I’m going to attempt to swap my factory Amber front bulbs with aftermarket chrome-dipped bulbs (i don’t care to fool with LED’s and resistors etc) this weekend. I will post an update on what did, and how if i have time. Here’s what i ordered :
https://www.ebay.com/itm/27273495430...mis&media=COPY
I’m hoping they fit. I know our bulbs take 7444 but the eBay listing says it doesn’t fit so i don’t know. Could be a base or something that may be off. Hopefully not but i will update.

These worked perfectly without resisters on my 2018
