Default lights

I keep my headlights switch in the auto position. When I first got the RC the headlight indicator on the dash was always on day or night. Now I only see the indicator when the night lights turn on or I put the switch in the on mode. Which is normal?

the lights should only come on when the sensors aren't picking up enough light from the outside. So if you have the switch on auto, you should only be seeing the icon when the lights kick on.

So I should not see the icon when only the daylight lights are on?

Thanks
