Surely the POI info is on the card as well as the map information, just as it was on the DVD. Also, the card would be a little less expensive to produce in quantities, but most of the cost is in the data collection, etc., so the cost should be about the same as before, although spreading it over more models with NAV might give the producer some economies of scale. I bought 2 upgrades for my 2002 SC over the 14 years I owned it, and my RX is still running the '08 Disc, but I don't take that car out of town much.

Yes. When he called me he said he went ahead and recalibrated/reset the ECU for now. Yes, I can confirm from my Advisor, he said the official update will roll out in December. For me it's good because during that month my 1st service will need to be done anyways. So, hopefully we can kill two birds with one stone if the roll-out goes as scheduled. This only happened to me once where radio controls and navigation froze up on me while driving. It's nothing urgent, but I want to make sure everything is in check.
