youre going to need friday afternoon to sunday afternoon if you want to do the entire dissembly clean, paint curing process and clear coat curing if you want a decal. Use a foam brush with G2, not the included crappy brush. Foam brush applies a lot more evenly and clean. I would remove the caliper off the hub/knuckle but be careful not to stress the brake line. You can get a more thorough paint job with it being off. I had some 5qt oil jugs or boxes to prop the caliper on so i can paint it without touching. Clean clean clean the calipers well before painting so its more durable. Lot of stuff bits so worth it looks wise. Did it to the 06 and 14 IS

I wanted to resurrect this very old thread to ask a question. Has anyone had their dealer paint their calipers? If they did how much did they charge to do it? I had the dealer do it on my last car and it was about $150 if I recall. Also, would painting the calipers void any warranty or violate any terms of a lease if I chose to do it myself or through a different specialist? Tinting a leased car in the past wasn't an issue, so I'm hoping that painting the calipers, especially if done by the dealer, will not violate any terms of the lease.

Also wanted to know if dealer would allow a different color. My thought is to paint the calipers yellow on a USB exterior.

I had our RX paint at dealer and it was $95. This was almost 5 years ago though.
