It's not a lease - I bought it outright. It's mine for the duration.
I received a few quotes for the expel - all the work requested was the same:
front bumper, front full hood, mirrors and rear bumper "impact area". Lowest quote was $1,000, middle quote was $1,420 and high was $2,000. Based on my comfort in speaking with the people, and not price alone, I would go with the low quote. He is certified by Xpel.
Your car looks great!
I don't even see the film. Where exactly is a seam? Can you get a close up of one? maybe the mirrors?
Have you noticed a dullness of the shine since the film was put on as opposed to the original paint shine?
If you get Xpel Ultimate, you won't have any dullness or the shine. Also they fold the seam over the hood, so it tucks undernearth the hood. The seam that you would notice on the mirrors are basically where the edge ends. I'll try to get pics tonight
My Infrared RC350 is with the (highly regarded) detailing shop right now, while I fly out of town for a few days. I'll see it Monday morning. FR2F.

About noticing the film...I just got back from a weekly car meet up. No one knew I had Xpel on my car until I told them to look closer. They were literally 4 inches away from the car to see anything.
I no longer use the paint protection films. If the paint on the bumper gets too many rock chips over 100,000 miles of use, I'll spend the $500.00 to have the bumper painted.
wow. looks great! can't even see that it's there. I like how they do those subtle cutouts around edges and corners.
I would've definitely done this on my IS F, but two years into it and with a handful of chips in the paint on the hood, I'll just wait it out and get it repainted or touched up at some point in the future.
Any new car I get will get the film installed on day 1.
I wanted to get this done on day 1 also, but it takes Xpel and others some time to get their hands on a new model to map it out. I just got mine back this morning and it's spectacular; the installer himself was very impressed at how Xpel made the templates for the mirrors and for the complex area around the headlights. Even the base (stalk) of the mirror is covered. I'm on my way out of town, so it will be a while until I can post some photos. The installer took lots of photos also and is going to do a write-up on his web page. However, for the painted parts of the RC350 grille (not the F-Sport grille), he could only do the emblem. The rest was far too complex for him to cut out and do by hand. He is going to call his friends at Xpel and see if they can get a template made for that, as there is a lot of painted area in this grille that is not covered by the fender/bumper pieces. F-Sport owners have less of this problem, I think.
