I just got the This is all they sent me with no instructions just wondering if anyone ran into the same problem and if someone could help.
RR Racing Lexus 3XX OBD ECU Upgrade Tune for 2017. And they forgot to send me instructions with it so I was wondering if anyone could help me with what I need too do, or if I would have to wait for them to send me the instructions.
I understand how frustrating it is to receive a tune without any instructions. Here is what you can usually do while waiting for the official guide from RR Racing.
Check what exactly they sent you
Most kits include an OBD cable or a USB stick, or a link to download software. Sometimes you also get a tune file or a code to activate it.
If there is a link or USB, install the software on a Windows laptop
macOS is usually not supported. It might be RR Racing’s own software or something based on EcuTek.
Connect your laptop to the car through the OBD port
The port is usually located under the steering wheel. Turn the ignition on but do not start the engine.
Open the software and check if it detects the ECU
There might be an option to read your current tune or flash the new one. The car might turn on and off during this process. That is normal. Just make sure not to lose power or disconnect anything.
After the flash, let the ECU adapt
Let the car idle for a bit and drive normally so the system adjusts to the new tune.
If you did not receive any software or files, check your email including spam. If nothing is there, contact RR Racing and ask for the missing files or instructions. Their support is usually helpful but may take a day or two to reply.
