Default Advice needed! Having mirror trouble with my RC

Hey everyone! I’m new to this forum and was introduced to it by someone on Reddit. I have a 2021 RC 300 (I named her sexy Lexy). I’ve had the car for less than 2 years with one previous owner. Love the car but my driver side mirror started to change colours??? I’m not sure if it’s burning. It’s slowly getting worse.
I wanted to know if anyone else is/was experiencing this issue. Also I’m Canadian btw idk if that matters. Thank you ☺️

The USB cord connection might be easy, try a new cord and be sure it is a Data/Sync cord, not just a charging cord.
The mirror is delaminating, does the Auto Chromatic feature still work? Do the Blind Spot icons still light up?
A new mirror glass is available but those with dimming and BSM are $495 US.

That’s a great suggestion! I’ll try a new cord and test it out to see if it works.
Everything on the mirror still works so assuming it’s delaminating as you’ve mentioned, I guess I’ll have to replace the mirror then.

Firstly, my USBs to connect my phone to charge and use CarPlay, they no longer work.
Secondly, my driver side mirror started to change colours??? I’m not sure if it’s burning. It’s slowly getting worse.

Your mirror is delaminating. The same thing happened on my 2018 RC300 when it was less than 4 years old. Lexus covered a replacement under warranty.

Thanks for sharing! I no longer have warranty with Lexus but I got extended warranty from another company. I shall try to see if they can replace it.

I bought the car when it was 2 years old and had a little over 9000 miles, so it was still under the bumper to bumper warranty. Aside from the mirror, the only other issue I’ve had was a recall for the fuel pump. This has been the most trouble free car I’ve ever owned.

I would have to agree with you. Aside from the mirror, the car has been great! How many miles do you have now?

It now has a whopping 22000 plus miles on it! It’s one of four vehicles we have for two drivers, and it’s stored winters, so it doesn’t get a ton of use.

I’ve got a 2015 FSport AWD with 96k on her. This has been one of the best/trouble free cars I’ve ever owned. And I’ve own several.

That’s awesome to hear! Sounds like it’s been a really solid car for you. Pretty easy to maintain as well
