Question about Sunroof Rattle: Potential Fix?
The runroof in my RC occasionally rattles on bumpy roads. If I apply light upward pressure on the glass, the rattle goes away.
Upon a brief inspection, I noticed that 1) the wind deflector does not always pop up all the way and 2) the felt pads where the sunroof rests are nearly gone.
I know the sunroof seals are known fail which can cause a rattle but as far as I can tell the seal looks okay.
I was thinking about cleaning and greasing the wind deflector as well as placing some anti-rattle tape where the sunroof rests. Does anyone know if there is any risk to doing this? I don’t want to add something that might cause an inadequate seal or get stuck in the closing mechanism.

Sunroof rattles are pretty common on the RC and IS, and they're easily fixed under warranty.
I probably wouldn't add anti rattle tape, but cleaning and greasing the track and seal isn't going to damage anything, just dont go overboard with it.
