Hello all. So my 2019 RC 350 F sport has been doing, at casual speeds during acceleration, a delayed or hesitating up shift from 2-3,3-4, 4-5 when in automatic only. Obviously in manual i can shift when i want so it doesn’t happen. It’s been doing that pretty much from day one and it’s been annoying ever since. Currently has 26k miles. Can this be corrected or Is this a Lexus issue and it is what it is. I am hoping one of you know exactly what I’m talking about and can tell me how it can be corrected. Thanks to all.

 

I have RC350 F-sport too, that's normal for Lexus IS/RC. its a sport car the shifting is like that otherwise you switch to Lexus ES or Toyota Camry Old Man Mode.

 

Put it in eco mode and it won't hesitate as bad. Normal will keep it in a lower gear a little longer, and sport will keep it in a lower gear a lot longer, as well as lock out gears 7 and 8 until much much higher speeds. If you're a 6 speed then it locks out 6th gear until a much much higher speed.
