Full Monkey Wrench Racing 2GR-FSE?
Hey everyone, first post.
I was just curious as to if anyone has built their 2GR-FSE with the parts available from MWR, I will be getting a 2016 is300 awd soon and was wondering how far I could push the engine without forced induction and it looks like MWR sells a lot of the internal parts necessary.

Someone with a 2IS did the cams & a few things, and was posting the experience of trying to get everything tuned and working a few months ago.
IMO as someone with a 16 IS300 FS, just get the RR-Racing tune, Exhaust(Headers if you want to go all out), Intake, and enjoy the car for what it is. It's the last car in it's class with a big NA V6; that is fun in it's own right, but terribly expensive to actually make power with.

The guy in that video admitted the cams were a huge waste of time and money. He blamed it on the fact that we wouldn't tune it for him. However, he had major running conditions and his installation was bad. There were multiple timing related check engine lights and running problems. He came out and said publicly, it was the worst decision he ever made. I think he got rid of the car but i'm not sure as he seemed to have disappeared.
Save the money and put a S/C on the car if you want to make any real usable power.

The cars FBO at the moment, exhaust, intake, RR tune(headers coming later this summer). The plan as of now is to just build the bottom end and try and make some good boost with the RR supercharger. Was kind of hoping to try and push and see how far the platform could take me before getting the S/C but I guess it would just be easier and cheaper now to build it for boost.
