Unhappy P0770

I have a 99 GS4 with the SRT intake ECU combo and a PE T/C. My check engine light has come to life and the dealership has not been able to give me a fix it except to remove the converter. The car runs fine, possibly better than before the light came on. Has anyone encountered code P0770 and if so what did you do to rectify the situation.

I rectified the situation by putting a piece of black electrical tape over the check engine light . Exact same situation as you, but have had no adverse issues in over 3 years with it on now.

Here are some old threads that may be of use, you can use the search feature to look for 'check engine' and you'll likely find a few more.

Thanks for getting back to me, I think the car is faster with the light on anyways. Never mind black tape. I'm pulling the bulb. I've been driving high hp stuff for 20 yrs now, I know when there is real problem, not some damm computer taking a guess because it just realized after 20+k that i have higher shift points. Big deal computer relax!!!!!
