Supercharged/turbo'd GS's
I was wondering why most ppl started selling they rides after FI'ed their rides
Mariusz tried, Mkilty parted out the SC and sold the car. Itsallgood and wcirksena sold the car after SC'ed. Roenick7 also sold his SC'ed GS. Is it because they have reached the ultima goal of GS or they just lost the luxury ride of the cars? That is my major concern of going FI

There are actually 4 TT setups, and a couple more on the way, from what I have seen.
Some people sell their FI cars because they have completed their "ultimate" GS project, and were ready to go to a next project. It all depends on what your goal is. Basically, I like my car, and wanted to keep it for years to come. I am performance minded, and wanted to make sure that my car could "keep up" with any new sports sedan that would come out. Basically, I am ready to take down the new M5 V-10 when it comes out! So right now, there aren't any 4 door sedans (under 100k) coming out, or planned that my car will not smoke, and as far as sports cars, I can still hang (at least up to 160
) I haven't lost ANY luxury aspect, outside of going full throttle from a stop. I basically can smoke the tires at anytime up to 70mph, or get a crazy jump on the competition by brake boosting. Also there is nothing better than having a 4-door whale crush a sports car, and have the sports car driver wondering what the hell is wrong with his car.

Cong,
Man u are the king of patience
u been waiting so long for that kit. That's a really good news about the transmission ecu can't wait, i didn't do the Valvebody just because i don't have time to wait for the turn around, but with this ecu i think that will solve the problem.

i was also wondering...i kno wolfy187 has a turboed SC300 as well as a few members with is300's from toyomoto. They do lots of turbo 2jz-ge, but i dont think i have heard of them putting out a turbo GS300 yet, which is kinda odd. Has anyone gone to them to turbo a GS300 yet?
doesnt flashgordon have a tt gs4? i think i saw it a few threads down hehe

I don't want to have any problem with my gears shifting. I had a similar problem with my supercharged maxima and it was annoying as hell.

Toyomoto do make turbo kits for the GS300 but there in house installation only. There's a few GS300 Turbo running around in Florida but I don't think any of them are CL members. I myself was very eager to ship my car over there but the cost was way to much so I opt w/ SRT who has a shippable Turbo kit.
As for shifting problems, all automatics have a problem from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3. I do not have my turbo set up yet and still get a delay in my shifting. There's a certain delay between those two gears which can hurt your 1/4 mile time. Toyomoto has no solution for the automatics. PFS already has a solution for people who purchase their turbo kit (is300 only and no turbo for the GS as of now) and now SRT is coming out with their solution which will be their Tranny ECU. Ok, let's try again then:
I saw a thread in IS.Net by some guy saying he saw a supercharged GS in his shop he goes to but I just ignored that and asked him to come to a meet. It did not CLICK that he was in Atlanta and there was a guy with FI being added.

It won't require a lottery ticket, but it certainly will require a pretty penny, as in on the order of $30k on top of the cost of the car. That's if you want to do a complete overhaul while maintaining the cushy luxury interior, which is, I believe, the goal of every GS owner who wants to build their "ultimate" GS. The 2JZ-GTE engine itself will cost about $10k, while upgrading the transmission, the brakes, the tires, the intake/exhaust.... and of course you have to have the bling'ed out rims and DVD and HIDs and emblems!

i am sure turbo or blower would be needed if you want insane power on the car, but for those with the v8 engine, ever think about just blue print the whole engine? that can bring you to 4xx almost 500 at the wheels already, if you know what you are doing. and the price won't be even close to 30k. just a thought though
