M mod transmission problem please help

i have gs300 2003 .. the problem with the transmission. When the transmission is in the M position. A flashing letter M appears in the screen It is shown in the 3rd gear. And I can't control from the steering wheel

I've not experienced this before before have heard of it happening. It may be related to a solenoid in the transmission. Have you scanned the ECU for error codes?
