Default Forced induction at high mileage

Wondering if 60k miles is too high mileage to slap a SC or TT on my GS4? WIll the motor even make it to 100k with forced induction?

No, thats not too high. I had my SC installed after 60K (doesn't need major engine modification), and then switched to Twin Turbo setup at 74k (need engine mods). TT setup had major engine mods (forged pistons, larger injectors, etc).

What SC did you have? You must not have been satisfied with it, right? I am assuming the TT with internals performs 100% better...

I had the SRT SC 2.5 kit, and now have the SRT TT kit. Both the SC and TT setups have their pros and cons. The SC gave more of a linear power boost, but had more noise, while the TT gves a more BANG type of boost, but is quiet. If you have been good to your engine (regular oil changes, synthetic oil, all maintaince done on time) then you should be ok with a 20-40% increase from your FI setup (basically adding about .100 more hp) Anything more you should look at getting some work done to fortify your tranny. Your engine is really strong, its your transmission that would go before the engine, if you aren't care (bascially you do not want to hit your rev limiter).

Question, so you should use synthetic oil if you add a SC or Turbo system to your GS? Is that recommended by most people?

You should use sythetic oil regardless if you have any modifications or not. It's just better for your engine, period.
