During starting, Car idles high, around 1.3 rpm which to me should be normal but is erratic. I can’t just start and go otherwise the car goes by itself.. Does anyone else have/had this problem? also does anyone’s exhaust put out a lot of emissions?
I can live with it.. can’t afford a fix just had to put a “new” used motor in this thing.. that’s for another time.

Does it continue to idle high once it’s warmed up? It’s normal to have the high idle at start up.

 

It runs fine warmed up. The erratic part is what concerned me and that also when I put it in drive, when not warmed up it’ll drive me w out gas pedal pressed.

 

The car will idle high in cold weather temps. It's normal for this car to do that. Once it warms up it will be fine. If the idle is erratic after that. You have a vacuum leak somewhere.

 

Completely normal. But yeah, on those COLD mornings you really have to be aware at a stop light that you don't roll into the car in front of you...even when you're on the brakes. LOL! MASH that pedal!
