Boosting questions
I've been on the message board super tough here the past couple of months. I've had my is for about 6 years now and I've been frequently on the site since then. I've seen a couple guys on here running fi on their 2is and they claim they're running stock ecu. I have a 62-1 turbonetics I've had laying around for about 3 years now, that I was going to use for my s13 build, tial mv44 wg. Intercooler, basically a complete turbo kit. Heard the 06 ecm responds better to mods however true that is idk. Just need some difinitive insight. Would the RR racing tune be a necessity out the gate. I think a fat snail sitting under the hood would be alot sweeter than the SC kit, plus I already have what I need new in the box. I know the di injectors do most of the work and I'm not too worried about the fuel delivery. Just want to hear from the people who have done it one way or the other. Looking for about 450 whp. Meth inj, and e30 e85 is everywhere in Oklahoma. Help a brotha out. I wouldn't even be asking this if I hadn't seen Homie with the 3is with twins on stock ecu, or dude from a while ago with the twins on his 250.
I've only seen two on here who moved the needle the other way. A GS350 PilotX who made 402hp with a SC and Pavgr who has also has a SC.
I'd say its doable on the stock ECU but you have to an intercooler of the knock sensors will pull back the timing so far that you'll lose anything gained. And yes, RR can likely get you there even remotely....
