Default How can I gain RELIABLE horsepower?

I have a 2000 GS300 and the end goal I want for this car is to have 300-400 reliable horsepower. I obviously cant afford it right now but Im pretty good at saving money for things I want so I dont need to have the cheapest build but I dont want to completely ball out if that makes sense. I just need to know what needs to be modified, if you could tell me specific names and brands that would be extremely helpful. Your advice is greatly appreciated 👍🏽

You are definitely going to need a turbo to get 300+whp. Start researching a kit and whats involved. Read mine and others builds. Not cheap. That being said. Don't waste money on intake and exhaust mods etc. A turbo kit wont use a short ram or cai style intake or headers, and normal exhausts sold as bolt on's will be a choke point. You'll want a full 3" off the downpipe once its turbo.

I recently made 315whp with a turbo kit from CXracing and a set of BC 264 camshafts. Our engines can only handle low boost, so I'm just at the recommended 8psi for my kit until further engine upgrades are done. So hopefully that gives you a realistic idea of what it takes to make that power. It's a complete change all at once. Not like a bolt on here and there till you get there.
