Default Oil sandwich adapter

I have a complete turbo kit on the way that comes with a basic oil line kit that you'd tap into the block. But I'd rather run a sandwich adapter off the oil filter location and run the oil lines out and back in from it. What are some thoughts on this? Is block tapping still the preferred method or can I run my oil lines from a sandwich adapter? I want my kit to be easily removable/installed for bi-annual emissions inspections.

On the subject I will need to be finding out the thread size/pitch for the oil filter location, an adapter that will fit right, and the fittings needed. Any suggestions/info on this welcome. At this point I'm not even sure how long the lines are and if I'll need to buy different lines to run that distance. Not sure if they are in AN or NPT or anything just yet.

Surely you don't mean connecting the turbo drain back to the sandwich adapter...

Nevermind, I'm looking at what would have to be routed and capped off to make this work. I know to T off the OPS, but returning to a adapter would take too much work. I'm just going to have to find a nice hidden place to tap the oil pan.

You're overthinking this way too much. Just get a quality return flange(like the Driftmotion AZ one) and tap into the *upper oil pan* where it's machined. Then buy a -10an cap(Summit) so you can remove the turbo stuff when needed.
