Default Recommendation on intakes?

I have a 2016 IS300 FSport...Which intake would you guys recommend?
I was looking at this AEM one: https://www.carid.com/2016-lexus-is-...399307957.html
But I also see people getting this one https://www.topendmotorsports.com/le...ystem-2883.php

Or is there one that you guys have that's good with performance etc...

For performance, get a boxed intake like the stock one or change the tube on the stock one.

What about for hp? Which one would be better? I’ve heard mixed reviews about the boxed one.

My theory is no intake will make a huge HP increase, maybe a few HP if you are lucky. Cone intakes make more noise (which sounds great) but dont really have a positive HP gain due to it not being boxed off.- sucking engine heat from bay. Boxed air intake like our stock one actually uses cold air (boxed intake) but again maybe a few HP increase? A bit more throttle response?

Lexus didn't spend $$$ on R&D for developing a non efficient intake. ISF/RCF/GSF all use the boxed intake method as well.

We recommend the Takeda intake.

Most popular intake by far.

Wouldn't all the intake air be cooled by the intercooler? I imagine a boxed intake may help a tiny bit by delivering a little cooler air but not by much.
Ive seen an aftermarket dyno on the intake filter and tube make about the same power gains, about 7 each if youre lucky. So ide recommend ditching the money on an intake for a few hp and drop the money on a tune or piggyback for serious gains. spend about another $100 for much more potential, just my .02👌🏼

Intercoolers are only so efficient. The cooler the air entering the intercooler is, the cooler it will be after passing through it. That being said, he has a '16 IS300 so it's not turbocharged.

If I had the 3.5L IS300 the first and best modification that can be done is the tune. RR Racing can tune it to IS350 specs for not a whole more. Consider the F Sport intake is $450 and maybe will gain a couple HP if you're lucky. The RR Racing tune is $550 and you actually gain 35whp. Not bad for an extra $100.

Ive had the bms cone intake along with the jb4 for a couple weeks now. The intake sounds amazing if you like to hear your car breathing, and definitely, like most cai/sri gives better throttle response...but turbo lag still remains, just not as bad. I highly recommend the jb4! on map 2 once you hit 3k its a kick and throws your head back

I have a BMS intake I’m looking to get rid of if anybody is looking for one. Used for about a year but just cleaned the filter less than 2 weeks ago
