Default Apex-i mid-pipe - Virginia emissions

I currently have a PTS Axleback Exhaust - Joe Z Series and will install a APEX-i N1-X EVOLUTION EXTREME 2016+ LEXUS IS300 AWD RESONATED MID-PIPE this week. The mid-pipe does not have Cats, i have a feeling I will be swapping my mid-pipe for the stock mid-pipe when it comes time for emissions test. am i correct to assume this? I'll post a sound clip afterwards should anyone be interested in the sound the combo produces.

You are correct. Of course, registering the car where there are no inspections,...?

does anything think it would make sense to weld in some HFC on a brand new mid pipe so it will pass emissions? good or bad idea? i'm afraid of the unknowns...has anyone done this?
