Default New guy first Lexus

Hello everyone. My name is Faz. I just recently registered to CL. Anyways I just bought a 2003 is300 with 93k on the clock and will soon go NA-T. I have read through a majority of the forums regarding the NA-T build and wanted some input and advice. I know it’s gonna cost me some heavy mula but I just recently came home from deployment and I think I have enough. My goal is 600whp. I don’t plan on doing dig runs or quarter mile times. It’ll be used as a weekend toy and highway pulls.

If your goal is 600whp you will definitely need to swap out the internals in the 2JZ-GE motor.
You will also need a standalone EMS and will most likely have to run E85 or racing fuel. If you opt for E85 you'll have to build a fuel system that's compatible with it

The $$$$$$$$$ you will spend trying to get 600 rwhp you should have bought a ISF and supercharged it then you still will only get 550rwhp just add nitrous , good luck.

thanks for the advice. But where can I find a standalone EMS for The is Is300. That’s been an issue for me. I was thinking of doing the complete gte swap but at the same time I think that would be more work. As far as internals stock bore pistons Manley or JE and rods thought of eagle rods. I don’t plan on going nitrous. That’s out of the question for me. Fuel would be 91, 91+meth and c16 race gas or equivalent.

dont get me wrong the ISF is clean but I picked up a steal for the is300. 93k on the dot clean inside and out. But nitrous would be out of the question. But I honestly think the IS300 was the way to go instead of the ISF.
