I was hit yesterday and the Lexus shut off and the shaft will not move into drive, it moved into neutral. I went back to check and the brake light is on. There is very little damage on the body, however I think it not out something...any one to help!!

 

Pop out the little square plastic cover on the center console shifting assembly and depress the black piece inside the hole. This allows you to shift through the gears even while off. See if that helps.

They were able to get the car started however is their a shut off reaction when the Lexus is hit from the rear. Michele

 

Hello My 2008 IS250 is running really weird the altenator went out a few days I replaced it now I have codes that keep popping up it shows misfire from Cylinder 1 AND 4 P0301 and P0304 now its P0300 P0020 intake camshaft position Actuator circuit open bank 2
p0201 202 204 205 injector circuit open
P0348 camshaft position Sensor A circuit high input
p0351 ignition Coil A primary secondary circuit
p0353 ignition Coil C primary secondary circuit
p0355 ignition Coil E primary secondary circuit

I don't know where to start or where some of these components are can someone please help
what is the code for faulty computer can someone help me with this

 

Hey juiceman. Create a new thread and I’m sure it will garner more traffic so someone can help you out.

 

I don't think there is. I suspect the jolt either knocked the shifter out of sync with the transmission or, if like me, I rest my hand sometimes on the shifter and I could see me doing it. The car may have been moving forward when this occurred and that could have caused some sort of jam up in the transmission.

They now replaced the bumper and I need a new trunk hood do you think there is undercoverage damage as well? Michele
