Default Universal twin loop muffler?

Hey everyone, has anyone tried using a universal twin loop muffler? Ever since I heard the sound of the Suruga exhaust with the twin loop mufflers on our car, I've always wanted to try and replicate that sound. However to my knowledge there are no twin loop setups available for our cars...

Anyway so that's where this idea came in my head. What if one were to just buy a universal twin loop muffler?? Would the sound be closer to how Suruga sounds? Or do you think using a somewhat cheap twin loop will sound like crap?

Here is one I found. http://m.ebay.com/itm/232142638746

Let me know what you guys think. I wouldn't mind giving it a shot for that price. Oh and I forgot to mention that I currently run a custom 2.5" exhaust on my car from the cats to the back. So changing my current tsudo mufflers is something I've been wanting to try.

I think I've seen one or two people who wanted to or attempted a project like this, but I haven;t heard updates on how that was going. If I had to give it a guess (and this could be risky) buy two of them and take them to a muffler shop (unless you can do it yourself) and see if they can make use of it. Important to note that the Suruga Speed exhaust utilizes straight pipes on certain sections of the exhaust as well. What worries me though is that price. Its only $65, so I wouldn't expect too much out of it.

Suruga Speed's twin loop design on their mufflers are different than what is pictured in that ebay listing.

^^ This. Suruga's muffler piping is only passing through the muffler once. The One pictured in the ebay listing passes through twice.

are you trying to mimic just the sound of the suruga?

if so post 6 may help

or are you trying to mimic the sound and the looks of the suruga?
if so i dont think that ebay "jdm-listed" part will give you that sound straight outta the box. (just my 2 cents, i could be wrong though)

I'm betting a large flow through muffler with decent resonators and a set of cats removed sounds close. Those double pass mufflers look like they are about the same as a resonator and flow through muffler.
